Counselors can help with frustrations, feeling overwhelmed, anxiety, depression, moodiness, trauma, aftermath of assault or abuse, ADD/ADHD, learning problems, being annoyed with roommates, overeating/undereating, not sleeping well, relationship problems and much more. We also can do some assessment to figure out how things such as anxiety, depression or attention struggles might be making school difficult for you. We offer all this in individual counseling, couples counseling, group counseling and assessment in the Wellness Center. If you would like more services, such as seeing a medical doctor or psychiatrist to talk about whether medication might also help, we can easily help you connect to a nearby, off-campus doctor at your convenience.
Education programs are also things we do. We can offer workshops, seminars, and public talks on a variety of topics of interest to students. We like to come to classes, hold meetings in the Wellness Center, talk in Sufficient Grounds, meet in the Center for Academic Success or hold conferences in a number of other places on campus. Please let us know what you would like to know more about and where you would like us to talk: we are flexible.
All you need to do to meet with a counselor is to call the office at 574.807.7370, this number is answered by counseling center staff and is completely confidential. Up to eight (8) free sessions are available each year for Bethel enrolled students.
