Get Your Nursing Degree from Bethel University

Nursing students in MRI lab

Get prepared for one of the fastest growing career fields in the country, with a Bethel nursing degree.

When you enter the nursing program at Bethel University, you’ll be surrounded by the latest technology in our new simulation lab, by teachers who have worked in nursing for decades in communities including Mishawaka and Elkhart, and by a commitment to excellence that keeps Indiana hospitals recruiting our graduates time and again.

Bethel University offers many opportunities to meet your personal career goals in nursing, offering ADN, BSN, BSN-Completion, and MSN degrees.  For those pursuing the traditional BSN degree, direct admission is available for those exemplary students who exceed the School of Nursing admission standards.

In the classroom, you’ll learn alongside classmates – many from the region (Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois) – to become adept at critical thinking, effective communication and evaluating research findings. In the high-fidelity, computer-based simulation labs, you’ll practice on adult and child mannequins. This training mimics the complex patient environments found in real-world settings.

Some unique aspects of the program that students are excited about include the following:
  • Start clinicals during sophomore year.
  • Be an athlete and a nursing major – be a well-rounded student.
  • Participate in medical mission trips to Kenya, Guatemala, Dominican Republic.
  • Excel in small classes with caring faculty.
  • Learn in updated high-fidelity nursing simulation labs.
  • Work in a cadaver lab for Anatomy and Physiology classes.

Our alumni report 100 percent satisfaction with their Bethel experience and job placement experiences in hospitals located in Elkhart and South Bend. Their employers also report complete satisfaction. The NCLEX pass rates for students is consistently above the national average.

Through it all, Christian principles are incorporated in lessons so that students graduate prepared to deliver compassionate holistic nursing care.
