Nikki Warstler is a senior biochemistry – cell and molecular biology major with minors in psychology, biology and chemistry. As she finishes up her senior year, she’s working on applying to medical school and hopes to be accepted to Indiana University School of Medicine.
This summer, she was featured in a Goshen News story about how her volunteer experience with Goshen Hospital turned into a passion and career path. Warstler has served Goshen Hospital for five years – first as a volunteer and most recently as an employee in the Emergency Department. She also played a role in training other volunteers at the hospital.
Since coming to Bethel, Warstler has taken her volunteering spirit overseas on a medical missions task force to Guatemala. She also gained valuable, hands-on experience on campus as the cadaver intern – a unique program that allows undergraduates to work alongside a medical professional on a human cadaver.
“At Bethel I had the amazing opportunity of being the cadaver intern last year for the Anatomy & Physiology class. It was such an honor to learn about human anatomy in such a unique way!”
