The infectious smile and positive attitude of Dray Taylor ’17 are hard to miss. And so are the positive “be you” themes woven into his rap and hip-hop music, something that is unique for an artist in those genres.
Taylor came to Bethel as a 20-year-old in the Adult & Graduate Studies (AGS) business program. During this time, he met Zach Nelson ’17, also a Bethel student. They formed a friendship based on their creative passions. When Nelson heard that Bethel wanted to create a video celebrating the change to Bethel University, he immediately pitched the idea to Taylor, who was hesitant at first, but eventually warmed up to the idea.
“I’m a better me because of Bethel University. I just want to tell people what Bethel did for me and then encourage them to go, too,” Taylor says.
