The Bethel College Concert Choir, Voices of Triumph, and special guest Luminos, will present their Fall Choral Concert on Tues., Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m., at St. Monica Catholic Church in Mishawaka.
The Fall Choral Concert invites listeners to enjoy beautiful sounds from the Concert Choir and Voices of Triumph. From historical classical music to contemporary settings of popular music, the concert will both entertain and inspire. The Concert Choir will perform pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach, Craig Hella Johnson, William Byrd, Kim Andre Arnesen and Peter Lutkin. Voices of Triumph performs a cappella repertoire from Palestrina, Charles Stanford and Dave Brubeck along with traditional spirituals and contemporary Christian music settings.
Special guest Luminos is an a cappella vocal quartet, which was formed by a chance assembling of four college friends, who discovered the immense power music has to spread love and joy to people everywhere. It is now their purpose and vision to spread that love and joy as much as possible. They perform music from a wide variety of genres, including classics, hymns and spirituals, to contemporary, sacred and pop music. From the tight harmonies and soulful wandering of “Poor Wayfaring Stranger,” to upbeat classic covers such as Ben King’s “Stand By Me,” Luminos strives to bring a testimony of God’s creativity and love through the gift of music.
The cost is $7 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. Purchase tickets online at or call 574.807.7080, Mon.-Fri., 1-5 p.m.
