Bethel University Recognized as a Top Tier College for 16th Consecutive Year

Bethel University earned the 30th spot among the Midwest’s Best Regional Universities in the 2020 U.S. News Best Colleges ranking. This is the 16th consecutive year that Bethel has been recognized as a Top Tier university on this annual list.

The rankings, now in their 35th year, compare bachelor’s degree-granting institutions from across the U.S. on 15 diverse measures of academic quality, including outcomes, expert opinions, student excellence and more. The U.S. News guide allows students and parents to compare, at a glance, the relative quality of U.S. institutions based on widely accepted indicators of excellence.

Bethel was also ranked No. 3 on the list of “Top Performers on Social Mobility – Regional Universities Midwest.” This is a new ranking created by U.S. News to evaluate which schools are best serving underrepresented students, noting that some colleges are more successful than others at advancing social mobility by enrolling and graduating large proportions of disadvantaged students.

Other recent recognition for Bethel includes being ranked No. 29 in the nation by College Consensus on its list of “Best Christian Colleges & Universities,” being recognized by Money Magazine as a “Best College for Your Money 2019,” being named by Washington Monthly as a “Best Bang for the Buck – Midwest 2019,” and appearing on Washington Monthly’s list of “Top Master’s Universities 2019,” where Bethel ranked No. 73 in the nation, appearing higher on the list than any other Indiana college or university.
