Bethel University Jazz Ensemble performing at Notre Dame Collegiate Jazz Festival

The Bethel University Jazz Ensemble has been invited to perform at Notre Dame’s 62nd annual Collegiate Jazz Festival on Sat., Feb. 22, 2020, at 7 p.m. Performances will be held in the new Dahnke Ballroom, located on the 7th floor of the Duncan Student Center on the west side of Notre Dame Stadium.

According to, The Notre Dame Collegiate Jazz Festival (CJF) is the oldest and most prestigious jazz festival in the nation. The event brings together collegiate bands from across the nation to perform in a non-competitive setting. Professional jazz musicians judge the college bands and top off the evening with the famous “Judges’ Jam” performance.

This year, the college jazz groups performing at CJF are the Michigan State University Jazz Orchestra and Jazz Octet, Alma College Percussion Ensemble, Roosevelt University Large Jazz Ensemble and Latin Jazz Ensemble, Columbia College Fusion Ensemble, Texas State University Jazz Ensemble, Bethel University Jazz Ensemble and University of Notre Dame Jazz Band 1.

CJF will have a free preview night on Thurs., Feb. 20, and the festival will be held for two nights, Fri., Feb. 21 and Sat., Feb. 22.

Tickets for Friday and Saturday night performances will be available at the door inside Duncan Student Center. Tickets are $5 per night.
