Bethel College earned the 29th spot among the Midwest’s Best Regional Universities in the 2019 U.S. News Best Colleges ranking, improving nine spots over last year. This is the 15th consecutive year that Bethel has been recognized as a Top Tier college on this annual list.

The rankings evaluate colleges and universities on 16 measures of academic quality, including outcomes, faculty resources, expert opinion, financial resources, student excellence and alumni giving. The U.S. News guide allows students and parents to compare at a glance the relative quality of U.S. institutions based on widely accepted indicators of excellence.

Bethel was also ranked No. 16 on the list of “Best Undergraduate Teaching – Regional Universities Midwest.” Administrators at peer institutions were surveyed within their regions and were asked to identify up to 15 schools with a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching. Schools needed seven or more votes to appear on the list, which is designed to recognize institutions where the faculty has an unusually strong commitment to undergraduate teaching.
