Lissa Diaz

Bethel College Professor of Christian Ministries and Chair of the Department of Religion and Philosophy Terry Linhart, Ph.D., has released a new book, “Teaching the Next Generations: A Comprehensive Guide for Teaching Christian Formation.” Linhart edited the book and authored the chapter, “Curriculum and Teaching.”

Released by Baker Publishing Group, the book shows that effective teaching is important not only to the Christian faith but to the success and impact of Christian ministry. It brings together expert Christian educators representing a broad array of evangelical institutions and traditions. The book champions the role of teaching as a necessary skill for ministers and future ministers to develop and equips them to work effectively for the spiritual growth of young people.  It can be purchased from Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or Baker Publishing.

Linhart has more than 25 years of experience training youth workers, and has authored six books and numerous articles on topics related to youth ministry. He serves on a variety of review boards for various academic associations and serves as the director of the Youth Specialties Academic Support Network. He also is a member of the ministry council for the National Network of Youth Ministries. He is working on a seventh book, “The Self-Aware Leader,” scheduled for release in March 2017.
