Bethel Opens Satellite Location for Ministry Programs in St. Joseph, Michigan

Adults interested in a ministry degree from Bethel College now have a new option for taking classes. Starting in September, classes will be offered at First Church of God, 2627 Niles Ave. in St. Joseph, Mich. The satellite location will serve adult students pursuing an associates or bachelor’s degree in Bible and Ministry, as well as graduate students working towards a Master of Arts in Ministry or Master of Arts in Theological Studies.

The college pursued this location because there is significant interest from prospective students in Southwest Michigan, but the distance to Bethel’s Mishawaka, Ind., campus has been a barrier for attending classes.

“This expansion is important to reach the entire Michiana community,” says Stephen Ganger, assistant professor and director of adult and graduate Bible and ministry programs. “Combined with our growing online options, students in southwestern Michigan should be able to complete their degrees in an accelerated and convenient format.”

All satellite classes will follow the Adult and Graduate Studies (AGS) accelerated 7-week format, with six classes on-site per year, as well as online classes. For more information and to apply, visit or call AGS academic advisor Ron Drake at 800.422.4251.
