Bethel College Partners with Area Churches for Fourth Annual ReFuel Conference

Erin Kinzel

Local churches are once again partnering with Bethel College to offer “ReFuel,” a one-day conference for church worship teams and leaders. The event is Saturday, Jan. 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Everest-Rohrer Chapel/Fine Arts Center – Auditorium on Bethel’s campus.

The conference, now in its fourth year, is a joint effort coordinated by staff from Nappanee Missionary Church, First Baptist Church of Elkhart, Grace Community Church, New Life Fellowship, St. Mark Missionary Church, Harvest Chapel, Trinity E-Free, Maple City Chapel and Calvary Assembly of Elkhart.

David Cummings, conference director and worship ministries pastor at Nappanee Missionary Church, says the goal of the event is to energize and refresh worship leaders who spend so much time ministering to others.

“Our ultimate goal is to create a day where worship teams and leaders can come and be poured into in the same way that they pour out to their local church on a weekly basis,” he says. “We desire to simply create a day for worship teams to be together, be encouraged, and be equipped to continue to lead their local church in worship.”
